For more than 20 years, the German painter and conceptual artist Anselm Reyle has lived and worked in Berlin. After studying in Karlsruhe, he started a studio cooperation in Kreuzberg together with other artists. In 2008 he decided to have his own studio and bought a plot of land in Treptow with a direct view of the Spree River, previously used by the water police. Together with his wife and architect Tanja Linke, he designed his new creative space. A few years ago, the two then decided to turn Reyle´s workspace into their shared residence as well and added a residential building to the studio.
