The blanket is based on a new series of paintings that Claudia Comte is currently working on, in which she combines poppy jungle scenes with minimalist zigzag lines. The jungles are taken from the comic strips of Belgian cartoonist André Franquin, known for comics such as Robbedoes & Kwabbernoot, Guust Flater, and Marsipulami. By leaving out figures, buildings, and text balloons, Comte presents the landscape as the central protagonist.
